With a Little Help from My Friends

In 2005 Ulyett Landscapes Limited were asked to get involved in a national television programme called ‘With a Little from My Friends’ for Granada Television. This is a challenge Anneka type production sending a Celebrity back to their home town to complete a project for the community with the help of their old school friends. This is done in a very tight schedule and without any funding. We helped design, construct & realise the project in Barlborough, Chesterfield which consisted of a Chess style Paving Area, Pergola, Decking and Planted Areas, converting an area of derelict wasteland to an environment local residents both young and old can utilise for many years to come.

Rosemary Conley ‘Steps Charity’ Project

September 2007 saw Ulyett Landscapes Limited receiving a telephone call from well known diet & fitness guru Rosemary Conley. Rosemary is patron of a charity called ‘Steps’ based in Shepshed, Leicestershire. ‘Steps’ was set up to support children with disabilities and helps families who have children with cerebral palsy and similar motor dysfunctions. Our Contracts Director Mark thought this a very worthy cause & has helped project manage the design & realisation of a Sensory Garden with the help of our Hard Landscaping Team. This will provide the children with an area to learn and enjoy all about nature and experience different sights & smells they would not normally encounter in their everyday lives. It was given fantastic coverage on ITV’s Central news with regular progress reports and an unveiling on the final day.
